What Holds You Back

I just read an interesting article about how to eliminate things that hold us back from being successful.

When I read it it made me think of a saying- “If you do what you have always done, you get what you always got”! I know not the best grammar, but you get the point.

There are so many things that stop us from becoming successful. Success may be different for many of us. Some may say it is a healthy lifestyle or having time to spend with their family whenever they please or being able to buy what they want and not have to worry about what the price is. What ever success is to you most of the time it is YOU standing in your way.

I know it sounds silly right? Why would you not want yourself to be successful!

Well it isn’t that we don’t want ourselves to be successful it is just that we are comfortable doing things the way we always have. It is hard to change and more than that it is scary to change.

Snack time

As you know snacking is key to losing weight, but it is also just good for general health.

Snacking helps stabilize blood sugar levels, keeps your metabolism running, and gives you energy all day long.

Some quick ones are fruits and veggies. A lot of people think bars such as power bars, granola bars, or quick snack bars. If you are going to do these think organic. They don’t have all the proceeded ingredients in them.

Some of my favorites are: bars, only organic, veggies, fruit, cottage cheese with pepper, and leftover smoothie!

Bananacakes

So do you have no idea what to make for breakfast or do you need more protein and hate eggs? Well I have the perfect solution for you. I call them bananacakes! They are simple to make and taste great. I love them, my son loves them, and even my husband loves them.

They are easy to make; you need two eggs and a banana. You mash the banana and whip the eggs together. You can add cinnamon which is what I do. Just make them how you would regular pancakes.

To add more to it purée fruit to place on top. Don’t mix it into the mix I tried it it doesn’t work.

Ceviche

Last night we had mexican food at my house. We have several healthier versions of what can be fattening mexican items.

Ceviche is one of my favorites and I really only love my mom recipe. Not sure if that is I know what she puts in it or if it I season it and don’t add a lot of salt ( I am not a fan of salt).

I have attached a link to get the recipe, but it does tell how much. Really you can just guess at what you want, but just use all the ingredients.
